E-Commerce Project Consulting

Evidence built into your project, from kickoff to launch.

The most expensive e-commerce mistakes happen at decision points, when teams choose a checkout approach, a navigation structure or a product-page layout based on assumption, convention, or whoever spoke loudest in the meeting.

I join your team as an embedded project consultant and make sure those decisions are grounded in evidence, stopping costly mistakes before they're built.

Who this is for

Right for your project if…

  • You want to improve your existing online shop to turn more visitor into buyers and get clear, research-backed answers on what to fix and where to start.

  • You're launching a new online shop and want to build it on a conversion-optimized foundation from day one, not retrofit improvements after launch.
  • You're rebuilding or migrating an existing shop and want evidence behind the key design and UX decisions, not just delivery on time and on budget.

What working together actually looks like.

I'm not an advisor you call once a month. I work alongside your team, in your tools, in your meetings, at the moments that matter. Depending on the project, that typically includes:

At decision points.

UX reviews, stakeholder workshops, sprint planning. I'm in the room (or on the call) when key choices are made.

Reviewing before building.

Designs, flows and specs reviewed against research before they go to development, not after.

Answering the recurring questions.

Layout, checkout flow, navigation structure, product-page, search behaviour. These are the questions every e-commerce project has, with a research-backed answer instead of a debate.

Flagging friction risks early.

Identifying conversion problems at the design stage, when fixing them costs hours, not weeks.

Great teams build online shops. Research helps them build the right one.

Every e-commerce project has talented designers, developers, and project managers working hard to create a successful store. Their expertise is essential.

What often gets less attention is whether the key decisions behind the users experience are backed by evidence. Will shoppers understand the navigation? Does the product page answer the questions that influence purchase decisions? Is the checkout process aligned with how people actually behave online?

That's where I come in. I help teams validate and strengthen their decisions using proven e-commerce and user experience research. The goal isn't to replace expertise, it's to support it with evidence, so the final store is built on more than assumptions, opinions, or industry habits.

How we'd work together

Four steps to getting started.

1. Introductory call.

We talk through your project: scope, timeline, team structure, what's already decided and what's still open. I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right fit and what level of involvement makes the most sense.

2. Scoping.

We agree on the format of my involvement: hours per week, which phases I'm most useful in, how we communicate, and what the engagement looks like for both sides.

3.Working together.

I join your meetings, reviews and decision points at the agreed cadence, reviewing designs and flows against research before they're built, and keeping the team aligned around the evidence.

4. Handover or continuation.

At the end of the agreed phase, we review what's been built, what's still open, and whether continued involvement adds value. No automatic extension, just an honest conversation about what's next.

Interested? Let's talk about your project.

Tell me what you're building, where you are in the process, and what the main challenges are. We'll work out together whether this kind of involvement makes sense.
